We are organizers, trainers, managers of people and projects, and campaign strategists.

We believe that to solve the most pressing issues we need to work with those closest to the problems to identify solutions and engage broad constituencies in advocacy. We ensure that campaigns are rooted in the communities they aim to serve because no matter where we come from or what our color, we all deserve healthy, thriving communities.

What we offer

Support organizations to run thoughtful campaigns

Whether it is creating a county or city-level ballot initiative, moving a bill through a state legislature, or designing a campaign to move a single political target, we strengthen plans by supporting groups to ground themselves early in the communities they aim to serve. We help identify and navigate potential gaps in campaign work with regard to accessibility, inclusivity, and equity. Together we can then advance those visions by clarifying purpose and goals, setting smart strategy, and prioritizing.

Recruit and onboard the right people, then support them

Does your team want to "level up" and take on more leadership? We can connect you to strong organizers and help you develop them through custom engagement ladders, coaching, and training programs. We support teams in developing relationships based in trust, giving and receiving feedback, so they can work through what is needed.

Prepare to enter new communities with care

We help groups feel confident in their ability to roll out a project knowing they have examined important dynamics and are prepared for the realities of listening and incorporating feedback. Using the appropriate tools and technologies, we can build a field program that allows you to build power across differences and create campaigns that are in partnership with and inclusive of communities.

What People Are Saying

“Izzy and Laura were extremely thoughtful when training our team to facilitate a community listening session. They were able to work with our timeline and cater to the community members we were connecting with and the goals of our program. The activities were engaging and allowed all community members to participate in a way they were comfortable with. Better Outcomes Consulting made my team more comfortable and confident with facilitating the session and asking questions that resonate with our constituents.”

— Benice Mach, Mobility LABs Project Coordinator, Undo Poverty

“One of my primary tasks was to build meaningful relationships and a community with our members. BOC was so easy to connect with, and I felt secure in our work relationship throughout the entire process. I didn't expect to grow as much as I did as an organizer and advocate on the issues I work on, but Laura always pushed me to think further and be raw and open with my thinking and approach to our work. At the end of our project together, I felt stronger and more connected to my work and feel confident in the listening series we developed and plan to run after our legislative session. I hope to work with them again soon.”
